Business treats for charities!...

Businesses such as Zurich Financial Services are helping voluntary groups
to create a more professional image in a series of Tea time Treats organised
by Three Sector Match, an initiative managed by GRCC.

A session took place last week as part of a series of Tea time Treats organised by
Three Sector Match to provide bite sized chunks of free training to voluntary and community groups across Gloucestershire. Groups as diverse as the British Heart Foundation, Carers Gloucestershire and the Tom Roberts Adventure Centre shared tea, cakes and discussion to help them develop their own ‘elevator pitch’.....ie come up with a memorable statement that would summarize their organisation in 30 seconds flat – the time it takes an elevator, or lift, to travel from the ground floor to the top level.

A special mention must go to representatives from two local village halls who came up with: “North Nibley Village Hall - putting the fizz in the champagne of village life!” and “Bishop’s Cleeve Village Hall is the pot in which village life can grow”.

Special thanks were also given to The Stonehouse Court Hotel, who, as a member of
Three Sector Match, provided the tea and cakes – for free!

Other Tea time Treats planned over the next few weeks will be with Twentyfive – a creative media company and Trailblazer PR, as well as the county wide newspaper, The Citizen – all members of Three Sector Match.
